Mi Ex Me Tiene Ganas, comedy and mystery in Venevision's new primetime telenovela
Mi Ex Me Tiene Ganas is the latest telenovela by renowned author Martín Hahn, in a story that moves the audience, with the participation of actors such as Daniela Alvarado, Luciano D'Alessandro, Guillermo García, Norkys Batista, Carlos Montilla, Winston Vallenilla, Lilibeth Morillo, Miguel Ferrari, Jonathan Montenegro, Eileen Abad, Amanda Gutiérrez, Caridad Canelón, Crisol Carabal, Hilda Abrahamz, Gustavo Rodríguez, Rolando Padilla, Carolina Perpetuo, Miguel De León, Mariaca Semprún, Sheryl Rubio, susej Vera, Kerly Ruíz, Martín Brassesco, Gabriel López, Saúl Marín, Marta Track, César Flores, Andreína Carvo, and the children Meisbel Rangel, Carla García, Bárbara Díaz and Carlos Dos Santos. Three friends, three stories, three lives, three exes and one objective: to be reborn from the ashes of a past love. The action takes place in a city where Pilar, Miranda and Soledad live. Pilar cannot believe that her good-for-nothing ex-husband turned out to be a successful professional. Now she's hesitating on whether to give in to this love. Miranda is model who meets her former husband. Now she's married with a millionaire man, but she feels powerfully attracted to her ex. Soledad is divorced, and dedicated to care for her home. She now bumps into an ex-lover who is now an underwear model. Will it be a good idea to give in to temptation and run away from the routine?
The scripts are by Martín Hahn, Daniel González, Giuliana Rodríguez, Ana Teresa Sosa and Carolina Mata, with the supervision of Damarys Padilla. Mayra Villavicencio is the Post-production Director. Dayán Coronado, Sergio Martínez and Arturo Páez are the Directors of Exteriors. Romina Peña is the General Producer, Sandra Rioboo the Executive Producer, and Yuri Delgado, the General Director.
The theme song for this telenovela is "Amor De Mis Amores", written and sung by Lilibeth Morillo.

The Banff Media Festival is a television and digital media market that will be celebrated this June 10th to 13th, at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, Canada.
Eva Luna, another Venevision International production, was the winner last year in the same category of these awards.
La Viuda Joven, starring Mariángel Ruíz, Luis Gerónimo Abreu and Verónica Schneider, will be competing for the award in the "Best Soap Opera & Telenovela" category, with "The Wild", (Electronic Media Network, South Africa), Vidas Em Jogo (TV Record, Brazil), "The Princess'Man" (KBS, South Korea), "30 Lives", (CBC, Canada), and La Casa De Al Lado, (Telemundo, United States).

Venevision International to present the captivating telenovela Válgame Dios, (The Love Curse) at the LA Screenings 2012
The compelling telenovela Válgame Dios, starring Sabrina Seara and Eduardo Orozco, will have its international debut at the Los Angeles Event, LA Screenings, which will take place from May 15th through May 18th, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.

One of the largest TV channels in Albania purchases a TV Globo International telenovela
The telenovela Araguaia, (Destiny River, from TV Globo International, which was indicated during the last International Emmy Awards in the category of “Best Telenovela”, was bought by Top Channel from Albania. The story, by Walter Negrão, replaces the telenovela Passione, also produced by TV Globo.
Top Channel is a free-to-air network in Albania, with headquarters in Tirana, however the signal is also distributed to all of Europe and North America through pay-TV (DTH, cable and IPTV). The channel has already televised several successes from Globo TV International such as Caminho Das Indias and Viver a Vida.
With a Brazilian flavor, the telenovela tells the love story of Solano (Murilo Rosa), a brave man of good heart, however under an indigenous curse, and Estela (Cléo Pires), a mysterious and seductive indigenous Indian, who has to change her destiny and surpass challenges to live her great passion.
With a cast full of top names and with spectacular nature scenes, Araguaia was fully recorded in HD and had its initial scenes shot in Goias, in the central-West of Brazil, where the river that refers to the telenovela’s tile is located (the ‘River of Destiny’).

The last episode of Fina Estampa attains a 70% share in Brazil
The conclusion of the telenovela Fina Estampa, (Looks and Essence, which went to air on March 23rd, obtained more than 47 audience points and a 77% participation (Source: Ibope). The drama, which was televised in primetime on Rede Globo, explores the question of today’s values, having as its main characters the poor but hardworking Griselda (Lília Cabral) and cruel and rich Tereza Cristina (Christiane Torloni).
In the North of Brazil, the last episode reached a share of 90% - of every ten viewers watching television, 9 were tuned into the final moments of the characters.
Fina Estampa which is in the 2012 TV Globo International catalog, tells the story of Griselda, a strong and hardworking woman who brought up her three children alone, while working in manual labor. Tensions grow when she wins the lottery and people, inevitably, reveal their real character. Full of romance and intrigue, the telenovela is entertaining and brings together values such as friendship, love and family.
The drama counts on famous actors such as José Mayer, Dalton Vigh, Malvino Salvador and Carolina Dieckmann, Adriana Birolli, Júlia Lemmertz, Dan Stulbach, and others. TV Globo International is betting on Fina Estampa, and it will be officially launched on the market in the second semester in 2012.
Globo TV International at Ipad -The Ipad application gives you access to the product portfolio highlights of Globo TV International, the international licensing division of Globo TV. With versions in both English and Spanish, the app brings trailers, synopsis and photos of about 30 titles of different genres: telenovelas, series, comedy series, formats, documentaries, telemovies, and specials.
Avenida Brasil replaced this telenovela on the Rede Globo roster.

TV Globo shoots scenes for its new primetime telenovela, Avenida Brasil, in Argentina
The city of Mendoza, in Argentina, was the backdrop of a filmshoot for the lastest TV Globo telenovela, Avenida Brasil, which premieres on Monday April 26th in Brazil. The region, one of the most important in the country, is known for its wine production and sets the scene to show the life of Nina (Débora Falabella) with the family who took her in when she lived in a rubbish dump. It is during this part of the plot that the audience will find out a bit about the adult life of the telenovela’s leading female role.
The main story reveals Rita/Nina (Débora Falabella) as a young woman obsessed with her search for justice. As a child, Rita (Mell Maia) is abandoned by her step-mother, Carminha (Adriana Esteves). After this, she is adopted by a family and taken to Argentina. The filmshoots in Argentina, which relied on a team of 23 professionals, lasted a week and were concentrated in the province’s capital, which has the same name as the city, Mendoza. Even the scenes of Nina in her restaurant were shot – along with her daily routine – and also those with her boyfriend, Hector (Daniel Kuzniecka).
Avenida Brasil, by João Emanuel Carneiro (the writer of Cuna De Gato) and directed by Ricardo Waddington, will replace Fina Estampa. In addition to Débora Falabella, the telenovela features stars such as Murilo Benício and Caua Reymond, in the main plot. The cast also includes Alexandre Borges, Heloísa Périssé, Eliane Giardini, Vera Holtz, José De Abreu, Isis Valverde, Carolina Ferraz and others.

Venevision International and Zhejiang Huace Film and TV Company agree to co-produce a telenovela in China

This momentous agreement was signed during the international content market MIPTV, where Venevision International’s commercialization team continues to accomplish great feats, expanding the company’s global reach as part of the Cisneros Group.
The company signed a deal with Zhejiang Huace Film & TV Company, one of the largest private producers and distributors of television series in China, to co-produce and mutually distribute a telenovela that will be completed in the majestic Asian country this 2012.
This agreement was signed during MIPTV 2012, the international content market that continues until April 4th at the Palais des Festivals in the magnificent city of Cannes, France, where more than 11,500 participants from more than 100 countries around the world have come together.
“This alliance with Zhejiang Huace Film fortifies our presence in China, where Venevision International, lead by the Cisneros Group of Companies, has made inroads for some years now, stretching our business ties in this important region that is Asia,” emphasized Manuel Perez, Vice President & CFO of Venevision International, who manages the company’s operations from its headquarters in Miami, Florida.
“This significant agreement is the result of the business integrity for which we are known in this region, established by our Chairman of the Cisneros Group of Companies, Gustavo Cisneros,” added Perez, who heads the company’s commercialization team at MIPTV 2012.

Corazón Apasionado to be broadcast in Spain by Televisión Española
Produced in high definition, Corazón Apasionado, Produced in High Definition (HD), is one of the featured telenovelas by Venevision International’s programming proposal for the international market MIPTV 2012.
The sale of the broadcasting rights for Spain of the Venevision Productions’ recent telenovela Corazón Apasionado, (Passions of the Heart). This compelling story written by Alberto Gómez and starring stunning actress Marlene Favela and renowned leading man Guy Ecker will air on ‘La 1,’ the premiere television channel of Televisión Española (TVE), as confirmed by Juan Julio Baena, President of Vision Europa, Venevision International’s exclusive representative in Spain.

Corazón Apasionado chronicles the life of Patricia (Marlene Favela), a young and beautiful girl who is completely in love with her boyfriend Marcos Pérez (José Guillermo Cortínes). But it is a clandestine love since her stern grandmother, Doña Ursula (Susana Dosamantes), would never accept the fact that her favorite granddaughter is infactuated with a mere worker at the hacienda she manages with an iron fist. The young loving couple attempts to escape unaware that Patricia’s father, Bruno Montesinos (Marcelo Buquet), plans to sell her to cover a gambling debt. Tuesday, the 13th, marked the successful premiere of Válgame Dios in Venezuela
Starring Eduardo Orozco and Sabrina Seara, Válgame Dios debuted this Tuesday, March 13th, 2012, at 2:00 PM in Venezuela, leading the ratings with a whooping 67% audience share, according to AGB Nielsen.
The story was written by Mónica Montañés had 64% share at the end of the week, almost three times the share reached by its closest competitor.
José Alcalde directs this production where stars like Jean Carlo Simancas, Flavia Gleske, Beatríz Valdés, Roberto Messutti, Ricardo Alamo, Alejandro Mata, Aura Rivas, Estefanía López, Carlota Sosa, Gigi Zanchetta, Juan Carlos Gardié, Yuvana Montalvo, Rosmery Marval and Arán De Las Casas brighten up the screen.

The López women hope to end this curse, and try to find a way to do so. Marbelis Castillo (Carlota Sosa), Ignacio's mother, who apparently is a good woman, hides a terrible secret. She is an evil woman who is willing to go great distances, even murder, to protect this secret.

Yet another adaptation of Dónde Está Elisa?, released by RCN Televisión
The debut of the new version of the original Chilean production took place this March 12th, 2012, on RCN, co-produced by Disney Media Networks Latin America and Vista Productions.
Writers Ana María Parra and Juliana Lema did the adaptation of this 90 episode telenovela, which was directed by Rodrigo Triana.
Some of the stars that comprise the cast of Dónde Está Elisa? are Angela Vergara, Carolina Sabino, Ernesto Benjumea, Roberto Cano, Jacques Toukhmanian, Pedro Falla, Anabell Rivero, Luis Velasco, Mónica Pardo, Martín Escobar and José Daniel Cristancho.

Shooting of Mi Ex Me Tiene Ganas resumes in Venezuela
The new Venevision drama project, written by Martín Hahn, has resumed filming in streets, parks and malls of Caracas, Venezuela. The studio filming is expected to take place in about two weeks.
According to Martín Hahn, this telenovela will be a mix of romantic comedy and mystery.

O Astro is the story of Herculano Quintanilla (Rodrigo Lombardi) a seductive man and magician known as Professor Astro, who wields a strong influence over his love-affair with Amanda (Carolina Ferraz), the powerful Hayalla family, and his friends. But is he a fake or a man with extraordinary powers?
Production film shooting took place in the south of Brazil, in the state of Paraná, bringing together a team of more than 50 people: among them cast members, direction, production, set-design, engineering, art production, costume design, special effects, assistants and even magicians left Rio de Janeiro to start filming. In some scenes, there were more than 200 people. The cast includes stars like Regina Duarte Francisco Cuoco, Thiago Fragoso, Aline Moraes and others.

Venevision International presents its programming catalog for DISCOP Istanbul 2012
The programming proposal presented by the global entertainment content distributor is mostly comprised of successful telenovelas from the Cisneros Group’s production companies.
DISCOP Istanbul 2012 is the international market that specifically targets Western Asia and Northern Africa, strategic regions for the television programming business. The company’s line up is mostly comprised of highly successful telenovelas such as El Talismán, the high-definition (HD) telenovela from Venevision that dominated the most recent international market NATPE 2012.
“The program selection of our proposal for DISCOP Istanbul is largely based on novelty, as we will present four telenovelas produced during the past year and which have yet to be commercialized in these regions, what’s more, they contain strong dramatic storylines – ostentatious settings, that we believe are ideal for these markets,” assured Manuel Pérez, Vice-President & CFO of Venevision International, who manages the company’s operations from its headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Pobre Rico began shooting in Chile
The new TVN telenovela, Pobre Rico, will replace Aquí Mando Yo in the 8:00 PM timeslot of the broadcaster.
Starring Simón Pesutic and Nicolás Cotapos as the two 17 year olds who find out they were switch at birth and embark in a tormentous quest to find their biological parents. Finances and social status will play an important role in this story, as Freddy Pérez was raised by a poor family, and Nicolás is a wealthy young boy.
Francisco Reyes, Amparo Noguera, Carolina Arregui, Magdalena Müller, Katyna Huberman, Alvaro Espinoza and first-timer Valentina Carvajal also star.
