Starring Maritza Bustamante, Luciano D'Alessandro and Anabell Rivero, the Venevision telenovela, which premiered in the summer of 2008, will air in Honduras for the first time this Monday, March 4th, 2013, on Teleunsa 30.
The story goes like this: Ana Julia Briceño (Maritza Bustamante) is a successful obstetrician who is married to Reynaldo Gabaldón (Luciano D'Alessandro), a pediatrician. Psychiatrist Valeria Velutini (Anabell Rivero) is Ana Julia's best friend, the one person she can count on when tough times arise. After many attempts to get pregnant, Ana Julia finds out she is unable to bear children. Reynaldo refuses to hire a surrogate mother. Valeria offers to be it, without Reynaldo knowing about it. The plan is to tell him once the baby's born.
However, on her way to a medical conference in Brazil, Ana Julia's plane goes down in the jungle and all the passengers are feared dead. Eventually, Valeria and Reynaldo get together and she tells him he's her baby's father, without telling him that Ana Julia is the biological mother.
Ana Julia is in the jungle, suffering from amnesia. Bayardo Santa Cruz (Iván Tamayo), who rescued her, has been taking care of her. In an unfortunate mistaken identity case, she gets incarcerated for several months and starts remembering her past, until, with Bayardo's help, she escapes and goes back home, only to find that her husband is now married to her best friend and they're raising her baby as their own.
